Changelog
Honest release notes. IgniteX is early — this page grows as it does.
1.0 — initial release (pre-launch)
- One-click setup wizard: engine install, Windows environment, Steam client, sign-in, play.
- Fully open-source compatibility engine — Wine 10 (Sikarugir) with DXMT (Direct3D 11→Metal) and MoltenVK. No Apple GPTK/D3DMetal bundled.
- Curated per-game compatibility catalog with an honest green / amber / red rating.
- Verified by hand: MECCHA CHAMELEON and Counter-Strike 2 (VAC-compatible). Everything else is a prediction until tested.
- Steam login goes directly to Valve — credentials are never seen by IgniteX.
- Performance tuning defaults per Mac tier; frame pacing and upscaling options for lower-end machines.
Known limits: kernel-level anti-cheat titles do not run locally (by design — we don't circumvent anti-cheat). Some launchers (e.g. Rockstar) aren't fully supported yet. Frame rates depend on your Mac and the game.
